Physical clearing

Recording balancing energy transactions is one of APCS’s main tasks.

We account for the balancing energy flows in each balance group on a quarter-hourly basis (in the middle of the month following the settlement month). The data required for these calculations are sent to us by wholesalers, suppliers and system operators, via our online system. The clearing managers at APCS ensure that the clearing process is closely monitored and efficiently administered.
